Do You Know Jesus?
Jesus Is The Greatest Decision You'll Ever Make.
Dear Friend, has anyone ever told you that God loves you and He has a wonderful plan for your life?
A New Life In Jesus
Know Jesus
Knowing Jesus isn’t about joining a religion or trying harder to be “good enough.” It’s about receiving the love of God and beginning a real relationship with Him. The Bible says, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). That means Jesus didn’t wait for you to have it all together—He came for you right where you are.
The good news is, salvation is a free gift. You don’t earn it; you receive it. “By grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8–9). Jesus gave His life on the cross, rose again, and now offers you forgiveness, freedom, and a brand-new beginning. And He invites you into closeness—“Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” (Revelation 3:20).
The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10:9.
If you’re ready to say YES to Jesus today—to turn to Him, receive His forgiveness, His love and start walking with Him—you can pray this prayer out loud and mean it in your heart:
"Jesus, I need You. Thank You for loving me and for dying for me on the cross. I repent and turn from my sin, and I ask You to forgive me. I believe You rose again, and I confess You as Lord of my life. Come into my heart, make me new, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. From today, I choose to follow You. In Jesus’ name, amen."
If you said that prayer and accepted Jesus today, we want to celebrate with and for you! Complete the “I Accepted Jesus Today” form below so we can connect with you and support you in getting to know Jesus even better.

3. Get Plugged Into Church
Church is family and family is strong. When we try to stand on our own we are easy to attack. When we stand together helping each other and building each other up, then we have the strength to go the distance. Church is where we can learn and grow in our relationship with God. Here are some ways you can get plugged in at River Church Brisbane or check out our Next Steps Page for more.

4. Get Baptised
Getting baptised is an essential part of our faith walk. Even Jesus was baptised! It symbolises the death of the old you and the birth of a new creation who is righteous in Christ Jesus. if you are ready for that next step, we would love to baptise you. Check the church calendar here to sign up for the next baptism.
- Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
- Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
5. Be Filled With The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit sent from heaven to help us as Christians. He will live inside us to help us, teach us and bring us peace and joy. If we ask the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us He will. He is like God’s electricity that gives our prayers and our faith power.
- John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
- Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptise you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
6. Immediately Tell Others About Jesus!
When you choose to receive and acknowledge Jesus before others, the Bible tells us that He in turn, receives and acknowledges us before His Father in Heaven. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ— it’s so simple but so life- changing and it’s now our job to tell others about Jesus, just like someone told you. This is called the Great Commission.
- Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Matthew 10:32 Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
Your life is about to change forever.
